This course aims to provide people already working in or wishing to enter the manufacturing industry with the skills and knowledge required to apply teamwork in their work environment. This includes participating in team establishment, participating in developing team culture, communicating with team members and assisting to improve team performance. 

Practical and oral/written tests

This module enables an individual to acquire the skills and knowledge to Apply Teamwork In The Work Place in the manufacturing industry. 

2 days (0830 - 1815 hrs)

Participate in team establishment

• Provide relevant inputs to support team in identifying and defining team objectives in accordance with organisational strategic plan
• Provide relevant inputs to support team in identifying and defining roles and responsibilities of team members

Participate in developing a team culture

• Brain storming sessions to achieve team objectives
• Participate to identify and address problems and review team performance
• Participate in organisational team building activities to strengthen bonding among team members

Communicating with team members

• Use appropriate communications channels to convey and share information
• Apply appropriate communication techniques when interacting with team members

Assist to improve team performance

• Identify and determine improvement areas to enhance team performance
• Propose and discuss with team clearly and constructively to enhance team performance
• Carry out follow-up actions relating to improvements for work
• Provide inputs to review team performance against team objectives
