Module 3: Forklift Stability
Module 4: Pre-Operational & Post Checks on a Forklift Machine
Module 5: Techniques and requirements for safe operations
Module 6: Highlights on the common safety lapses by forklift operators and the consequences.
Module 7: Safety Rules (Do’s and Don’ts)
In-person Workshop (8 hours)
4 hours theory, covering 4 case studies
4 hours practical training (inclusive of practical assessment)
Pre-operation checks of forklift
Travelling straight and reverse
Parking (in and out of parking lot)
Maneuvering (S and L shape) with and without load
Loading and Unloading
Reinstate and handover forklift
Certification Obtained and Conferred by
Upon passing the theory and practical assessments and meeting the attendance requirement of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Successful Completion from PSA Institute.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
enhance and refresh on their forklift operating skills
update their knowledge of forklift driving and operating rules, regulations and guidelines to enhance safety and productivity
reinforce the importance of developing and maintaining safe practices in forklift operations
Pre-requisites
Must have a valid Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) Operate Forklift Licence
Must be at least 18 years old and in good health, not subjected to deafness, defective sight or any other infirmity, which would render them unfit to perform the duties of a forklift operator
Must be able to interpret work instructions and technical information
Must be able to listen, speak, read and write English, and be able to process numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3, or PSLE qualification
