The “Perform Work At Height” is a mandatory training course for all workers performing Work At Height (WAH) in construction and other industry sectors.

1 Day (0830hr - 1730hr)

Theory

• Legislation and Guidelines pertaining to WAH
• Types of WAH equipment and unsafe practices with their use
• Criteria for selection of WAH equipment
• Fall Arrest System and Fall Prevention Systems
• WAH equipment inspection and record keeping
• WAH hazard identification UK7. WAH fall control measures

Practical

• Perform checks before and after use of Work at Height (WAH) equipment
• Perform proper use of WAH equipment in accordance to relevant legislation and guidelines, including evaluating use of fall arrest and fall prevention systems
• Perform self-relief techniques during harness suspension trauma situations

A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be issued by SSG for candidates who have been assessed as “Competent”.
