This course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and understanding of the basic requirements of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
This course is certified and endorsed by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
Written assessment
Shore-based personnel from shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, transportation and warehousing who are involved in transporting and handling of dangerous goods.
Dangerous goods training for shore-based personnel have become mandatory since 1 January 2010.
The IMDG code has undergone a further amendment 38-16 which requires shore-based personnel involved in the handling, packing, transporting, storing, etc. of dangerous goods to receive training so as to familiarise with the general provisions of the IMDG Code.

• IMDG Classification
• Dangerous Goods List (DGL)
• Markings, Labelling and Placarding
• Packaging, Packing Instructions and UN Markings
• Segregation and Stowage
• Shipper’s declaration
• PSA in-house DG Classification and Operations
This course will be highly interactive with numerous case studies and exercises.
Upon passing the written assessment and meeting the attendance requirement of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Maritime Cluster Fund (MCF) Training Grant (50% off course fee) is available for eligible participants.
Eligible participants may qualify for MCF training grant if they have not previously applied for funding for the same course.
